Nisha Vasava delivered a premature 31 week baby in Shree Chhotubhai A Patel Hospital and Community Health Centre at Mota Fofalia on Thursday. However to her shock the baby born with deformity with food pipe not connected to stomach. In this condition government comes to the rescue of this family as the cost of whole surgery will be free under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK).
Hails from Simli village 23 year old Nisha Vasava delivered her second child in the CHC runs under PPP model. The 31 weeks male child weighs 1.440 kg born at 5.39am on Thursday. However doctors found the baby born with deformity called Tracheo Esophageal Fistula. In common terms the food pipe is not connected to stomach and that leads to health complication in the infant.
Thanks to the RBSK scheme this tribal family will now get the surgery done free of cost. The baby is under observation at Neonatal ICU and will be shifted to tertiary centre and SSG first and then to Ahmedabad for the surgery after the doctor's opinion. The treatment, surgery, transportation all covers under this scheme.
