Special financial camp organized in Tezpur

Tezpur: A special financial inclusion camp was organised in the Conference Hall of NERIWALAM Institute in Tezpur of Sonitpur district of Assam today. On the occasion, a great number of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana accounts were opened, while plenty of nominations under social security schemes like Atal Pension Yojana, PM Jivan Jyoti Bima Yojana and PM Suraksha Bima Yojana were also received. Self Help Groups were also invited to attend the camp for disbursement of loans.

Ranjeet Singh, General Manager, Financial Inclusion of UCO Bank graced the occasion. Preetom Debnath DDM NABARD, Sonitpur, officers from NPCI, Lead District Manager of Sonitpur, Lead District Manager of Darrang district were also present. Officials from NPCI made a presentation highlighting the importance of Financial Inclusion for the masses. Eleven representatives from UCO Bank branches in Tezpur and nearby districts also attended the Camp along with their customers and Banking Correspondents. Service providers Atyati Technologies and Samriddhi Inclusive Growth Ltd. also helped in successful conduct of the event.

In his address, General Manager Ranjeet Singh expressed satisfaction over the way the Camp was organised. Preetam Debnath DDM NABARD,officer from NPCI praised the initiative taken by the Bank towards popularization of FI schemes. Addressing the gathering, Abhijit Das, Zonal Head of Jorhat Zone reiterated that UCO Bank is all set to serve the masses with a view to ensure more and more penetration in unbanked areas. An ADHAAAR registration Centre was also organised in the camp with the help of Sonitpur district administration.
