Sonakshi Sinha, who is now filming the cop role in Dahaad, is thrilled with the reception her series garnered at the current Berlin International Film Festival.
A police officer named Anjali Bhaati, played by Sonakshi Sinha, is the center of the crime thriller Dahaad. She is on the hunt for a murderer. Also, it has a strong ensemble cast, with significant characters played by Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah, and Sohum Shah.
The actor expressed his shock at the reception Dahaad received at the famous film festival, saying, "I am truly overwhelmed by the response. Being a part of this incredible series makes me proud, and I love seeing how the public responds to my character, Anjali Bhaati. Her unquenchable fire inside propels her to be the brave person she is, making her a superwoman.
This is my first excursion into the digital arena as well as my first time attending a film festival, and it has been an incredible experience. I am appreciative that Ruchika Oberoi, Reema Kagti, and Zoya Akhtar forced me to play this superwoman on screen. Seeing the audience's response to the series while attending the Berlin Film Festival will never be forgotten. The viewers' affection and gratitude have impacted me, and it has only encouraged me to keep working hard and looking for new opportunities.
Kagti and Oberoi have co-directed the series, which was made by Tiger Baby Productions and Excel Entertainment. Sinha will appear in Heeramandi, another OTT film from the master of aesthetics Sanjay Leela Bhansali, in addition to Dahaad.
