Deputy Commissioner Deba Kumar Mishra addressed the media on the Special Summary Revision 2023 at a press meet organised at Circuit House, Tezpur on Saturday evening.
He also informed the media about the District Day celebrations to be held on August 3, 2022. Sonitpur district was formed out of erstwhile Darrang district on August 3, 1983. To commemorate this event, the Sonitpur district administration will be observing the day with a day-long program. The day will begin with a cycle rally followed by a plantation programme and other events. During the open session, designated speakers will be speaking on various topics related to Sonitpur district. It will be followed by a cultural programme.
The Deputy Commissioner also spoke on various upcoming Government schemes and other important events.
