MLA and leader, George Lyngdoh has said that the terminating    contractual teachers whose services were terminated in the first half of 2021 is a matter of  human rights.

Lyngdoh who along with a group of TMC leaders visited   Birbor  Riangtem, President of  Meghalaya Government Lower Primary Schools Contractual teachers Association who has been holding an indefinite strikle    opposite Secretariat since last few days said that they are concern over the plight of the teacher

He said that these teachers have reached their age limit  and some of them are even handicapped and some of them have even lost their live

Accusing the Government of ignoring them, Lyngdoh said that  this is a human right issue as employment  and livelihood to people is being denied.s.s.
