Jailer, a movie starring Rajnikanth, has released its first trailer. The movie's poster and the message, "Jailer begins his action Today," were both tweeted by Sun Pictures today. Superstar Rajnikanth will return to the big screen following his most recent film, Annathe. It seems like you wouldn't want to mess with the grumpy 71-year-old actor.
The movie starring Rajni is directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar, who previously worked with Thalapathy Vijay on the movie Beast. Filming for Jailer has reportedly started in Chennai's Old Woodlands Hotel. The music for the film will be composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Sun Pictures, who previously collaborated on Rajnikanth films like Annathe, Petta, and Enthiran, is producing the film. Actor Rajnikanth has said that Jailer would start filming on August 15 or August 22 after meeting with Governor RN Ravi. The movie has been prepared for filming for the preceding four months. The filming of the movie was originally supposed to start in the first week of August, but due to unspecified reasons, it was delayed by two weeks.
Along with Ramya Krishnan and other well-known actors, Sivakumar, a Kannada actor, also appears in the film. In the movie, Tamanna Bhatia will co-star with Rajnikanth in the major role. Alongside Sun Picture, Anirudh had also made the announcement and provided the first look. Nelson and Rajnikanth were both underwhelmed in the positions of actor and director for the movies Beast and Annathe in 2021. Despite being commercially successful, neither movie was able to impress the reviewers.
The official cast and crew list for Jailer, which is set for release in 2023, has not yet been made available to the general public, despite the movie's apparent popularity. Twitter's statistics confirm this. In the three hours since it was posted, the news has received more than 53,000 likes and retweets. The amount appears to be increasing over time. Those who posted screenshots of their wallpapers in the comments section with the movie poster as their background seem enthusiastic about this collaboration as well.
