Harka Bahadur Chetry was conferred with the award of "pillars of society Award 2021-22" at Constitution Club Delhi on 19th August 2022 at 3 p.m. The award was conferred to him by social justice for international civil rights that affiliated United Nation Social justice for international civil rights. The award was offered to him in the presence of central social justice minister and other government officials and the organiser of society. Being Harka Bahadur Chetry is the chairman of Gorkha autonomous Demand committee. He initiated a long march by foot from Jonai to Guwahati to create the awareness of requirement for Gorkha autonomous council. He was president of All Assam Gorkha Student Union and relentlessly engaging to demand the autonomous council for Gorkha of Assam. The civil society of Gogamukh welcomed him on 21st August 2022.
