Bengaluru, October 22, 2025: Orchids The International School, one of India’s leading K12 school chains, has partnered with IIT Bombay to host the 29th edition of ‘TechFest - One of Asia’s Largest Science and Technology Festival’ at Orchids’ Sahakar Nagar campus in Bengaluru on October 26, 2025 (from 9.30am to 5.30pm). The zonal rounds of TechFest will provide an exciting platform for school students to showcase their technical prowess and creativity, while competing against some of the brightest young minds in the state.

The event will feature four competitions - ‘Cosmo Clench’, where students design and operate a pick-and-place robot capable of navigating varied terrains and executing precision tasks; ‘Maze Meshmarize’, a line-following maze-solving challenge that rewards speed and strategy; ‘CoDecode’, a high-energy hackathon testing programming logic and problem-solving skills; and ‘TechFest Olympiad’ (TFO), a national-level challenge that encourages students from Grades 8-10 to apply their scientific knowledge to real-world problems.

Jimmy Ahuja, the Head of STEM at Orchids The International School, said, “The TechFest by IIT Bombay represents an innovative initiative in STEM education, bringing together young creators from across the nation. The unique competitions are designed to demonstrate and apply advanced robotics components, showcasing participants’ designing skills and the practical application of scientific principles. More than a competition, it is a transformative learning experience - one that inspires innovation, hones skills and instills the confidence needed to shape the future.”

Zonal round winners will qualify for TechFest finale at IIT Bombay, gaining the invaluable opportunity to compete at one of India’s most prestigious campuses, alongside top talents from the other parts of India. Participants can also attend a complimentary four-hour Generative AI workshop conducted by an industry expert, aimed at equipping them with future-ready skills and deepening their understanding of cutting-edge technologies.
