BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today called upon the party workers to get ready for 2027 Assembly elections.
Taking strong exception to the intervention of Delhi-based Arvind Kejriwal team , Chugh said an unprecedented constitutional crisis had come about where he chief minister Bhagwant Mann had become a paen in the hands of Kejriwal team.
Chugh advised party cadres to draw inspiration from neighboring states like Haryana and Delhi, where the results of dedicated hard work by BJP workers have yielded significant achievements.
AAP has handed over Punjab's administrative responsibilities to Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain, individuals currently out on bail and facing serious corruption charges.
Chugh stated that the last three years under AAP's rule have witnessed complete stagnation and a lack of any positive development in Punjab. He emphasized that AAP has blatantly misused power, plunging Punjab into chaos and lawlessness, with frequent incidents of blasts, violence, and targeted attacks becoming the new normal.
Chugh further targeted Arvind Kejriwal, remarking that after a humiliating defeat in Delhi, Kejriwal has strategically coiled himself in Punjab, undermining the constitutional authority and dignity of the Punjab Chief Minister. "Under what constitutional capacity is Kejriwal dictating terms to Punjab's officials and ministers?" Chugh questioned.
Highlighting AAP’s failure to fulfill electoral promises, Chugh pointed out that women in Punjab are still waiting for the promised monthly financial assistance of 1000 rupees, while farmers await MSP bonuses and debt waiver announcements. Instead of addressing these crucial public concerns.
