Sainik School Balachadi, Jamnagar celebrated its 63rd Annual Day in School Auditorium on 13 October 2024. Smt Poonamben Maadam, Honourable Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha from Jamnagar Constituency was the Chief Guest on this occasion. Cadet Harshita and Cadet Hetvi welcomed the Chief Guest by presenting a bouquet.
‘Martyr Capt Nilesh Soni Medal’ for the ‘Best NDA Cadet’ for the academic year 2023-24 was awarded to Cadet Rohan Mehta of Tagore House who joined 152nd NDA course. He was also honored with a cash award of rupees twenty five thousand by OBSSA foundation Ahmedabad for his achievement. Cadet Tirth Patel of Angre House, Cadet Dhruvil Modi of Tagore House and Cadet Ananya of Ahilyabai House were adjudged as the ‘Best All Round Cadet’ of the year 2023-24 in ‘Senior’, ‘Junior’ and ‘Girls’ category respectively. Cadet Abhay Raj of Garuda House and Cadet Meghraj Gohel of Shivaji House were adjudged as ‘Best Athlete of the Year’ and ‘Best in Art’ respectively.
Best Debater (Hindi) and Best Debater (English) awards were given to Cadet Abhay Raj Class XI of Garuda House and Cadet Jash Kapopara Class XI of Tagore House for the academic session 2023-24.
Multitalented Cadet Award for the year 2023-24 from class XII was awarded to Cadet Aman Kumar of Tagore House.
Award for Shining Star of the School for the year 2023-24 was given to Cadet Jiya Doshi of Ahilyabai House. Late Smt Ramrati Devi Kaushal rolling trophy instituted by former Principal Gp Capt V K Kaushal in the fond memory of his mother for the Cadet who stands first in class XII CBSE board examination was given to Cadet Rohan Mehta who secured 95% in class XII CBSE board examination.
On this occasion, Digital version of the School Magazine ‘Sandeshak 2023-24’ based on the theme ‘Learners Today, Leaders Tomorrow’ was released by the Chief Guest.
The Chief Guest appreciated the efforts put in by the Cadets and Staff for the grand show and also congratulated all those who won the prizes. In her speech she said Sainik School Balachadi is one of the best Schools in Gujarat which inculcates patriotic feeling amongst Cadets. She complimented the School authority for providing the best opportunity in School for the overall development of Cadets. She urged the parents to motivate their wards to join Defence Services and serve the nation. She also conveyed her best wishes to all the Cadets for their bright future. Principal presented the School Memento as a token of remembrance to the Chief Guest.
OBSSA members, Parents and families were present on this occasion. They were highly impressed by the performance of their wards. The programme culminated with the Vote of Thanks proposed by Lt Col Harjot Kaur, Vice Principal of the School.
