Tarun Chugh, National General Secretary of the Bhartiya Janta Party, criticised the Punjab Education Department for an incident in Ludhiana in which 397 students were unable to take their exams due to insufficient funds for printing question papers. He described this as a glaring example of administrative negligence and failure, highlighting that the AAP government is risking the future of children in Punjab. Chugh questioned how such administrative blunders are being normalised is this the message the education department is sending to society with these repeated mistakes. He expressed concern that if this is the model for revolutionising the education system, as claimed by AAP leaders with their 'School of Eminence' initiative, then the future of Punjab's children is at serious risk.

Chugh also referred to a recent issue regarding the promotion of unqualified teachers to English teaching positions as further evidence of the government's inefficient machinery. He pointed out that these incidents reflect significant flaws in the education department's policies and administrative failure. The shortage of teachers in government schools is also a pressing issue, depriving students of their fundamental educational rights. He criticised the AAP's claims regarding the Punjab Smart School Policy, suggesting that they do not seem to be heading in the right direction with so many administrative blunders happening day by day. The quality of education is being compromised due to flawed policies and incompetence within the Punjab education department.

Chugh strongly condemned the AAP government for making misleading and deceptive claims on the school education system in the state which has proved to have failed eminently in Punjab.
