The Society for Advancement of Aerospace Propulsion (SAAP) is conducting one day National seminar on the 20th of April 2024 (Saturday) in the Conference Hall of HAL’s old Management Academy located next to HAL Hospital on the Suranjandas Road, Bangalore-17 during 9AM – 5 PM. Theme of the Seminar is “Application of Gas Turbines and Indian Endeavours”.
The “Society for Advancement of Aerospace Propulsion (SAAP)” was formed with a motto of bringing together the serving and retied Scientists, Engineers, Practicing Professionals, Academia as well as Industries involved in Aerospace Propulsion Systems’ Design & Development, Manufacture, MRO Services and Airworthiness - Certification all under one roof to pursue and benefit from their mutually possessed knowledge.
An audience of approximately 150 from HAL, DRDO, NAL, Academic Institutions and Aerospace related Industries is expected to participate in the Seminar to discuss and deliberate various avenues of applications of Gas Turbines being developed in India. Design, development and testing aspects for the Gas Turbine Engines will also be discussed during the Seminar.
A Book on the Author’s “Journey through Gas Turbine Technologies” will be released during the Seminar. The SAAP has constituted “AVM Roy Choudhary Memorial Award” in the memory of the “FATHER OF INDIAN GAS TURBINES” on annual basis which will be presented to one of the Eminent personalities pursuing Gas Turbine Technologies along with a Memorial Talk by the Awardee.
In addition, a lot of Technical talks will also be presented by Eminent personalities from DRDO, HAL, IAF, Academia and Aerospace related Industries in addition to a very interesting Key note Speech on the current trending field “Hydrogen as an alternate Fuel for Gas turbines” by Prof. J.J. Isaac of Park Engineering College, Coimbatore who was a former Offg. Director, National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL), Bangalore. Towards the end, a Panel discussion will be held to summarise and suggest action points for the benefit of Gas Turbine Fraternity followed by Seminar Dinner.
