Actor Salman Khan allegedly spoke to the Bandra police about the Lawrence Bishnoi gang's threat.
Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently being detained in a jail in Punjab, is alleged to have planned the murder of Punjabi artist Sidhu Moose Wala.

The threat letter was mailed on a Saturday afternoon, and it was delivered to the actor's city office. After his personal assistant received a threat via email on Saturday, the Mumbai Police reinforced security around superstar Salman Khan on Sunday. In a case reported to the Bandra Police Station, gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, his aide Goldy Brar, and another individual have all been accused of threatening the actor. One of Salman Khan's pals has recently made public the language used in the threatening email from Lawrence Bishnoi's secretary Goldy.

Together with Bishnoi and Brar, Rohit Garg is mentioned in the First Information Report.

The FIR was filed under the Indian Penal Code's Sections 120-B (punishment for criminal conspiracy), 506-II (punishment for criminal intimidation), and 34 (common intention).

According to sources, the Maharashtra government decided to increase Salman Khan's security protection by two levels to Y+ grade in November of last year in reaction to recent threats made against him by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Private protection has been provided to Salman Khan for a long time. Gurmeet Singh, also known as Shera, is his primary guard and keeps watch over him.

The menacing email was from Jordy Patel's inbox, who is Salman Khan's personal assistant. The threat email was sent to Salman, the boss of Goldy bhai (Goldy Brar). Nahi dekha ho toh bol diyo dekh lega, usne shayad interview dekha ho toh bol diyo dekh lega. Face-to-face communication is preferred; intimate communication is preferred when dealing with a matter. Abhi time rehte inform kardiya hai, Agli baar jhatka hi dekhne ko milega.

In 2018, when the blackbuck poaching case trial was ongoing, Lawrence Bishnoi alleged that Salman Khan had offended the Bishnois, a community whose beliefs include a love of animals. In the end, the accusation against the actor was dropped.

According to Lawrence Bishnoi, Salman Khan's slaughter of a blackbuck shamed his countrymen. In Rajasthan, where Hum Saath Saath Hain was being filmed, Salman was accused of killing blackbucks (1999). Members of the Bishnoi community have complained about Salman Khan and his Hum Saath Saath Hain co-stars in relation to the animal killings. Media coverage of the 1998 blackbuck poaching case, which is still pending in court, has been ongoing for the past 20 years.
