Baroda Women's Cricket Teams bags Sponsorship for the Upcoming Season

For the first time ever, Baroda Women's Cricket gets a sponsor. Baroda Women's Team of all the age groups will be sponsored by a Global e-shipping company in the upcoming cricketing season.

The Association received a sponsorship amount of INR 30,00,000/- (Rupees Thirty Lakhs) for Women's Cricket by 'Galaxy Cargo Services'. The Mumbai based company - Galaxy Cargo Services provides tailored solutions for comprehensive Intermodal Transportation & Haulage services that matches supply chain requirements of the consumers.

The amount will be utilized for betterment and promotion of Women's Cricket through accrued games and tournaments. "The sponsorship for us is passionate support to women cricket. We support the cricket and as a start get associated with Baroda Cricket Association," said Girish Nair, Vice President, Galaxy Cargo Services.

The brand shall also be visible on Women's Attires while they represent Baroda in BCCI Tournaments held in 2022-23. BCCI has scheduled a total of 9 tournaments for Women consisting of 5 Senior Tournaments, 3 U-19 Tournaments and a U-16 Tournament.

"Its a big thing for women's cricket as it will increase the responsibility. We need to play good cricket and also focus on winning more matches. This sponsorship will give a lots of motivation to the players as well as to girls willing to come into this game," said Radha Yadav.

"We get the inspiration from this sponsorship and it will help cricketers like us to perform well and play good cricket. This will also support the players who are financially weak and cant pursue their passion for the game. For the last many years we get the recognition and feature in media which gives players the motivation and choose this as a career option," said Yastika Bhatia.

Rumeli Dhar Bowling Coach of Senior Women's Cricket Team also appreciated the effort as this sponsorship will encourage the players and help in their performance. In recent years women cricket gets highlighted and Commonwealth games gives a boost as people follows women cricket.
