Secretary for Power, IPR, UD, Smart City Mission and Labour and Employment, government of Arunachal Pradesh, Ajay Kumar Bisht today visited East Siang and reviewed the ongoing Comprehensive scheme being executed by PGCIL. He was accompanied by the CE (Power), Central Electrical Zone, Ogum Moyong, SE(E) Transmission, TK Tara, SE (E), APEC-II, Modam Jini, CGM and DGM, PGCIL, Ajit Kumar and Kaling Jonkey respectively.
The Secretary visited 132/33 kv (2x31.5Mva) Substation at Niglok, 33/11 kv (1.6 Mva) substation Ruksin (Dop), 132/33Kv (2x10 Mva) substation at Napit, and Substation Dura 132/33 kv (2x5Mva) and also included his visit Rayang military station during his daylong official tour to East Siang.
Bisht directed the officers of PGCIL to complete all substations works by October, 2022 and all the 132 kv connectivity to be ready for charging by the end of this year. He also directed the EE(E) Pasighat electrical Division to assess all the 33kv downstream connectivity and get them ready before 31st December, 2022 while assuring to provide requisite funds for completion of 33kv downstream connectivity to the distribution division. With a view to meet the growing power demand and strengthen power Transmission and Distribution system in the state, the Power Grid Corporation of the India Limited (PGCIL) is executing works under Comprehensive Scheme for strengthening of power Transmission & Distribution System, he added. Bisht further asserted that improved intra-state transmission and distribution systems would ensure uninterrupted and quality power supply in the region adding that after commissioning, the projects would be owned and maintained by the State government.
According to official source, the Secretary will visit Likabali Substation on Sunday morning on the way to Itanagar.
