  Under the aegis of Narayan Seva Sansthan, Udaipur, a Free Medical Camp for surgery screening and Narayan Limb and Calipers measurement was organized on Sunday at Chandrasagar Kalyana Mantapa, Jayanagar, Bengaluru. Patients from remote districts such as Vijayanagar, Bidar, Ballari, Belagavi, Kodagu, Mysuru, Mandya, Kolar, Hassan, Bengaluru Rural, Ramanagara, Haveri, Raichur, Udupi, Bagalkot, as well as from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala participated in the camp for medical assistance.

The camp was inaugurated by Dinesh Gundu Rao, Karnataka’s Minister for Health & Family Welfare, as the chief guest. He, along with Bengaluru branch president Vinod Jain, trustee Devendra Chaubisa, and representatives from General Motors, lit the ceremonial lamp to commence the camp. Addressing the differently abled individuals and donors of Bengaluru, the minister expressed his admiration for Narayan Seva Sansthan’s free services and the overwhelming participation at the camp. He welcomed President Prashant Agarwal and the entire Narayan Seva Sansthan team for their dedicated efforts in serving the differently abled. Acknowledging the impact of past camps, he assured full support to the organization for the welfare of Karnataka’s differently abled individuals.

A dignitary at the event praised the Sansthan’s commitment to empowering the differently abled physically, socially, economically, and intellectually, aligning with the vision of a progressive India. He emphasized the collective responsibility to provide a dignified place for them in society.

During his visit, the chief guest interacted with the beneficiaries and observed the treatment and rehabilitation process conducted by the medical team.

At the outset, trustee and director Devendra Chaubisa welcomed the dignitaries and shared insights into Narayan Seva Sansthan’s initiatives. These include free surgeries, Narayan Limb distribution, daily meals for 5,000 individuals, free education for 800 underprivileged laborers’ children at Narayan Children’s Academy, skill development training in computers, mobile repair, tailoring, and mehendi application for differently abled individuals, and organizing mass weddings to help them start new lives.

Bengaluru branch president Vinod Jain highlighted the significance of the camp, stating that children, adults, and elderly individuals from all age groups participated. This was Narayan Seva Sansthan’s third camp in Bengaluru, supported by General Motors under its CSR initiative. A total of _ differently abled individuals were examined by the medical and P&O teams, with measurements taken for Narayan Limb fittings for _ individuals and calipers for _ individuals. Additionally, _ individuals were selected for free corrective surgeries. Throughout the day, all beneficiaries were provided with free meals, tea, and refreshments. A 40-member team from the Sansthan ensured smooth operations. The camp was coordinated by Khubilal Menaria and Lalit Lohar from Mumbai, while Hari Prasad Laddha delivered the vote of thanks, and Aishwarya Trivedi managed the event coordination.

Since 1985, Narayan Seva Sansthan has been working with the spirit of “Nara Seva, Narayan Seva” (Serving Humanity is Serving God). Founder Kailash Manav has been honored with the Padma Shri award by the President of India for his humanitarian service. Under the leadership of President Prashant Agarwal, the organization has empowered millions of differently abled individuals by strengthening them mentally, physically, and economically through medical assistance, education, skill development, and sports academies. In 2023, Prashant Agarwal was also honored with a Presidential Award.
