BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today blasted the Bhagwant Singh Mann government in Punjab for making a mockery of the school education system in the state for petty political reasons.

In a scathing attack on the AAP government Chugh took strong exception to the manner schools in Bathinda have been ordered to be closed the day AAP rally is to take place in Maur Mandi.

Chugh ridiculed the AAP government saying that on the one hand the chief minister is doing photo-ops in schools where is seemingly conducting surprise checks but at the same time was making use of the school students and the school staff for making his political rallies a success.

If a political rally is taking place where is the need to give a holiday to the school students and why should the school staff be engaged for AAP's political gameplans, Chugh asked.

He said the governance of Punjab has completely collapsed. The Bhagwant Mann government, in its panic, is only doing political dramatics on the basis of the central schemes after the party has licked dust in the Assembly elections in three states, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh, where all its 251 candidates lost deposits and were given votes far less than even NOTA.

Chugh called upon people of Punjab to wake to the political gimmickry of the AAP government and the shallow claims it has been making.
