On Thursday, the movie's trailer was released on social media, and it is impossible to ignore how strikingly similar it is to the Knives Out starring Daniel Craig movie. This is Anu Menon's second collaboration with Vidya Balan. They had previously worked together on Shakuntala Devi.
The captivating trailer immerses the audience in the glamorous world of billionaire Ashish Kapoor and his close-knit family and friends, where everyone is caught up in their web of secrets. The setting is the breathtakingly gorgeous highlands of Scotland. If Ashish Kapoor is killed at his party, In this classic whodunit, detective Mira Rao is tasked with figuring out the riddles and hidden reasons.
Vidya Balan stated, "What I enjoy most about being an actor is the opportunity to live the life of a different person with every character I play," when asked about her experience filming Neeyat and coming back to the big screen. Detective Mira Rao is not your typical detective in Neeyat. It was quite enjoyable to me because it was a classic detective story. Additionally, I had the opportunity to collaborate with an impressive group of co-actors in addition to getting to play a unique and eccentric character. I've worked with Vikram, Abundantia Entertainment, and Prime Video four times total, and I can honestly say that I've had the best time working with them to make this movie. It's my second time working with Anu after Shakuntala Devi. Last but not least, I'm beyond thrilled to be back in theatres with the debut of Neeyat and am anticipating audience comments with bated breath.
Vidya Balan's comeback to the big screen with Neeyat after her successful digital tenure with three mega smash films: Shakuntala Devi (2020), Sherni (2021), and lastly the significant blockbuster Jalsa (2022).
On July 7th, Neeyat will be shown in theatres all around the world.
