Marvel Cinematic Universe has explored the multiverse in a number of its films, and every fan of superheroes would agree that it is always a brave decision to even attempt films that explore multiple multiverses. And thanks to The Flash, DC has truly arrived at last! The Andy Muschietti picture, which features action, gripping storytelling, and even a spice of nostalgia with various superhero appearances that will undoubtedly drive audiences crazy in theatres, has aced it for DC Comics.

The focus of the film is Ezra Miller's struggle to deal with the death of his mother and the arrest of his father, who is accused of killing her. However, after discovering a way to go back in time through the multiverse, The Flash decides to alter a few events in his history in an effort to bring his parents back. But as we all know, using time travel in a multiverse inevitably leads to some problems, which is exactly what happens. Miller travels back in time to a moment when his dual persona is 18 and has not yet attained the lightning abilities that make him the Flash.

The situation completely changes when a powerful lightning strike occurs, causing the original Flash to lose his powers while Barry, then 18 years old, obtains them. tremendous strength also attracts tremendous foes. The Superman-defeated supervillain General Zod unleashes his anger on Flash in this alternate reality. Flash must therefore locate Batman and Superman in this parallel dimension if he wants to defeat General Zod. And now is where things start to become fascinating and nostalgic. Although Sasha Calle plays Supergirl in this realm, the iconic Michael Keaton returns as Batman.

It is a genuine thrill to watch Keaton portray Bruce Wayne, nicknamed The Batman, but what makes it better is how Muschietti incorporates the classic Batman into the modern world. Every Batman fan will undoubtedly shiver when they see the vintage Bat Mobile and the Bat Jet. Contrarily, Calle, who portrays Supergirl, has a relatively small part in the movie, but it is unquestionably jam-packed with nonstop action scenes, and it is safe to state that the actress has nailed every single one of them.

The film sends a powerful message that not every issue can be solved and that sometimes you just have to let go of things. The core of the movie is this gripping tale, which Muschietti delivers masterfully. But the surprises don't stop there. Two highly significant cameos are present in the movie's conclusion and post-credit scene. Overall, the movie has given DC a wider range of potential outcomes; let's hope the next films increase the stakes.
