After a long absence, Rani Mukerji is returning with the play Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway. She portrays a mother whose children have been taken away by child protective authorities.

Zee Studios have revealed the first trailer for Rani Mukerji's forthcoming thriller Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway. The main character of the movie is a Bengali woman who lives in Norway with her husband and two kids. Child protective services, however, take her children from her.

The opening scene of the trailer perfectly captures Mrs. Chatterjee's new life in Norway. She flees her nation in order to reunite with her family and begin over in Norway. She adores Shubh and Shuchi, her children. But on a fateful day, two ladies kidnap her children. After the government determines that the Chatterjee are unable to properly care for the children, she subsequently finds out that the children have been removed from her.

Actually, the Norwegian authorities' ignorance of Indian culture is what makes them insufficient. They scowl as Mrs. Chatterjee feeds her children by the hand, shares a bed with them, or dresses them in "nazar" teekas. They claim that this is sufficient to sever a mother's relationship with her children. Mrs. Chatterjee won't give up, though. She takes her case to courts in India and Norway, with or without her husband's backing, who is more concerned about his citizenship status, to defend her rights and those of her children.

"Mrs. Chatterjee Versus Norway," a film by Ashima Chibber, is based on actual events. In order to regain custody of her children, an immigrant Indian mother fought the Norwegian foster care system and local judicial apparatus. This battle is chronicled in the movie.

The movie's initial release date was set for March 3, 2023. The movie, which is made by Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment, spends a lot of time in Estonia and in several regions of India. In addition, Rani Mukerji is working on her memoir, which will be released on March 21, 2023, her birthday.
