BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh has strongly condemned the Congress for rubbing salt on the wounds of the Sikhs by promoting and protecting the main accused in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
Taking exception to the manner in which senior Congress leader Jagdish Tytler has been named in the party's election committee in Delhi, Chugh said the Congress has made sure that the tainted Congress leaders are not only rewarded but are also given adequate protection by the party.
Earlier, Kamal Nath, another accused in the riots, was positioned as chief minister of Madhya Pradesh and even former Congress leader HKL Bhagat was also kept high in the party pedestals.
Now, Tytler has been nominated to the election committee of the Congress which would not just remind the Sikhs of the wounds inflicted by the Congress leaders in 1984 riots but would also hurt their sentiments deeply.
