Review

"Chabutro” is a family drama, a simple story of two youngsters who want to have a purpose in their lives and fulfil their dream and passion.  They wanted to do what they love.

The dialogues are just like our day-to-day life and connect with real life. You will feel that you are seeing yourself on the screen and the story is your own. If you are a youngster you will feel that yes, this is what you wanted to do and this is the way you should live your life. If you are a parent of a youngster then you will feel that it is your son and you are a father who wants his son to be successful and your son helps you in your business and carry forward the family business.

If you are a mother then you will feel that yes, it is true how a mother gets stuck between her husband and her son and how difficult it is to convince both and make both happy.

The story and direction of “Chabutro”

The movie reflects the actual and current situation of living in India and living in a foreign country. There was a difference of the standard and way of living between the US and India but now the difference is negligible.

The story tells you that you can fulfil your dreams by staying in India, no need to rush to the US or other countries.

The shooting of the film is done in the US and in Ahmedabad.  A few of the ariel shots taken by drone in US look awesome.  The shots in the old city of Ahmedabad look absolutely real.

Positive Points of the movie:

  1. The dialogues are simple, nothing filmy it seems that all the conversations are happening in real and not filmy.
  2. The acting of all the lead characters is good..
  3. Music is so so and cinematography and picturization is fine.
  4. The work taken from the dog (buddy) is awesome.
  5. The movie gives a strong message “DO WHAT YOU LOVE AND LOVE WHAT YOU DO”

Negative points of the movie:

  1. There could have been more connecting songs in the movie.
  2. The conflict between father-son could have been more intense.
  3. I feel that the music and sound effects were not up to the mark, money is saved here.
  4. The story looks real but can easily be predicted.

Final Words:

A real-life story kind of a movie, you will feel the characters are real and it is one of you. A family-oriented movie. The movie gives the following messages:

  1. DO WHAT YOU LOVE AND LOVE WHAT YOU DO
  2. Have a purpose in your life and always try to fulfil it with your work.
  3. Give your complete dedication to what you do.
  4. Live your life your way to remain happy and satisfied and not remorseful.
