UDP leader and Home Minister Lahkmen Rymbui on Thursday came down heavily on Shillong MP and Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee or MPCC chief, Vincent H Pala.

Rymbui said Pala caused the disintegration of the State Congress and will lead to the further downfall of the party. He said the Congress stands with zero MLAs now and will go to minus zero after the 2023 polls under the leadership of Pala.

Rymbui was reacting to attacks of Pala against the UDP for being a mute spectator to many issues and holding plump posts in the government under which various illegalities are taking place.

Rymbui asserted that the MDA government is cracking it's whip against illegalities and has also raged a war against drug abuse. He criticised the Congress for doing too little too less during their regime.
