SIVASAGAR : Jorhat Women's Cricket Club lifted the 2nd All Assam Griffon Challenge Trophy Women's Cricket Championship defeating neighbouring Golaghat in a one-sided final match played on Boarding Field, Sivasagar. Electing to bat first, Jorhat put up a healthy 170 for 4 in stipulated 20 overs with openers Juthika Rai (59off41b) and Kalpana Chutal (37off40) gave the team a solid start. Golaghat in reply scored a paltry 67 runs all out in 19.2 overs. Kalpana is Chautal of Jorhat was declared Player of the Match. Khusi Kumari of Golaghat won both the Player of the Tournament and Best Batter of the Tournament Awards. Kakoli Saikia was adjudged the Best Bowler of the Tournament. Ramen Dutta, former President, ACC, gave away the Champions's trophy and the Cash award to the winning team.The Runners up Trophy was given away to the Golaghat team by Manos Handique as representative of Jorhat MP Topon Kr Gogoi while the Souvenir brought out on the occasion was released by Mrinalee Konwar, Chairperson, Sivasagar Municipality Board. Mrinangka Saikia gave away the Playe of the Tournament Trophy while Samiran Bordoloi Presented the Best Batter's trophy.
