Tezpur: A joint ambush by United Liberation Front of Asom Independent ULFA (I) and NSCN today early morning on a Assam Rifles troops near Indo-Myanmr border at Pangshu area in Changing district of Arunachal Pradesh .

The incident of firing on Assam Rifles troops by militant groups from across the Indo - Myanmar Border took place early morning today in general area Tirap Changlang district .

Meanwhile according to a statement issues by Tezpur defence spokesperson Lt.Col. A S Walia said that Assam Rifles troops were undertaking enhanced patrolling activities in view of heightened vigil for the forthcoming Independence Day. 

One JCO sustained minor injury in hand. No injury or any other damage reported .

Enhanced surveillance by own troops to continue, Walia said .

It is mentioned that after few years back the militant outfit ULFA (I) and NSCN jointly boycott the Independent Day this time .After declaration I-Day boycott it is the first massive strike by the outfit on security forces .
